An amateur in the best sense of the Latin amator (“I love”). Richard Lee “Dick” Harris, a former educator and psychologist, began writing poetry after retirement.
He and his artist wife live in Bellingham. In 2010, at age 76, he published Reimagine: Poems, 1993-2009; he is currently writing a chapbook, Distant Times, Distant Places and his memoir, Upriver Images.
